It was the end of the age of dinosaurs, and the waters of a warmer, weirder Atlantic Ocean covered a stretch of green sand that would someday be known as the Hornerstown formation of New Jersey.
Cretaceous Mantua is a digital project in collaboration with Dr. Kenneth Lacovara of Drexel University. Our goal is to organize information on the known taxa of the Inversand quarry in Mantua Township, New Jersey. In addition to providing an easy reference for researchers, one of our main goals from the beginning has been public science outreach. Extra care has been taken to make this website interesting and easy to use for enthusiasts of all ages.
I presented the project as a digital poster at the 2014 meeting of the Geological Society of America, in Vancouver BC.
